d) Key Deliverables and Schedule
Be sure to tell them what they will get for their money and when. Deliverables are tangible products that the project will generate; there are intermediate deliverables (e.g., a beta version of a software) and final deliverables (e.g., fully tested and documented software placed in production).
Depending upon the project, this could include:
- system requirements specifications
- hardware acquisition and installation
- pilot project results
- software installation
- user documentation
- user training
Generally, two or three will suffice; always include the final project deliverable.
State when you expect to meet each deliverable (month and year).
