Whichever analytic technique an organization chooses to employ, a goal is to learn and understand the causes of what worked and what didn’t. For example, analysis of:
- successful
projects/activities may identify innovative
management or technical approaches that could be
applied to other projects; these approaches might
become internal "best practices"
- those that were unsuccessful, may yield valuable clues to gaps in the Selection and Control phases or managerial and technical approaches to avoid in the future
3. Improve
